American Electrology Association Exhibits At Esthetics Conference

The American Electrology Association (AEA) will exhibit at the International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference (IECSC), held at the Las Vegas, Nevada, Convention Center, June 28-30, 2008.

Teaming up with Dectro International, a recognized leader of esthetic care and permanent hair removal equipment, the AEA will promote electrolysis for Spas, Salons and Esthetic Schools. Attendees at the conference can speak with electrology and esthetics professionals, gather literature, receive a thank-you gift and come to understand the beneficial symbiotic relationship which exists between the electrology and esthetics professions in the marketplace. "This is simply good business," states Sharon Ortiz, Certified Professional Electrologist (CPE) and President of the AEA.

Hair removal services are essential to good grooming for men, women and young adults. One of the most time-honored and trusted professional services at the very heart of good grooming is electrolysis, still the only FDA-approved method of permanent hair removal.

Electrologists within the Spa and Salon settings can enhance business image and contribute to an improved bottom line. "As a veteran esthetician/electrologist of 30 years, I have found it to be satisfying and financially rewarding to provide services in both professions. There is a very good marriage between the two as they feed and nurture each other," offers Helen Bickmore, Certified Professional Electrologist, author of Milady's Hair Removal Techniques and co-author of Aesthetician Series: Advanced Hair Removal (Bickmore, Hill). Also a New York licensed esthetician and Massage Therapist, Ms. Bickmore recognizes the wisdom of one-stop-shopping for her clients and finds that electrolysis adds value for both her clients and her business.

Stop by booth 1523 to tap into the wealth of information available from two very knowledgeable and experienced business women. Ms. Ortiz will be joined by Jeannie Bush, CPE, AEA Director of Council on Education.
